I’m an aspiring author and longtime reader and writer of fantasy and romance books. I grew up knowing I wanted to write stories for a living, but I ended up studying Game Design and Development at GSU, where I got my bachelor’s degree and a minor in English, in hopes of writing stories for video games. However, by the end of my college years, I knew writing and editing books were passions I couldn’t let go of. I’d spent so long trying to take the “safe route” that I’d put my true dream on the back burner.

So I began freelancing and dove back into the half-written stories that had been waiting patiently for me to return. I started posting on Instagram and found an amazing writing community and friends that have changed my life. Without them, I wouldn’t be where I am today. And that includes this little business of mine. Getting to connect with fellow authors and help them in one of the many aspects of self publishing has been so fulfilling.

Outside of editing, I work part time at a local coffee shop as a barista and spend most of my free time reading, writing, or editing with my cats nearby or going on nature hikes with my husband. I’m currently working on my own debut novel, a dark fantasy romance inspired by blood bending.

And if you’re curious where the name Early Owl originates from, it’s a combination of Night Owl and Early Bird, originally used for a fantasy coffee shop location in the early draft of my book. I think it perfectly describes us writers who work late into the night or early in the morning to bring our dreams to life.
